DHAKA: Visiting Afghanistan beat Bangladesh by two wickets in a low scoring last over thriller in the second match of the 3-match ODI series and force the series into decider.

Earlier, Afghanistan captain won the toss and opted to bowl first at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur on Wednesday (September 28).

Debutant Mosaddek Hossain helped Bangladesh manage 208 runs with his not out 45.

Mosaddek scored the 45 off 45 balls. Besides, Mushfiqur Rahim took 38, Mahmudullah 25, Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar scored 20 each.

Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan picked up three wickets while Mirwais Ashraf and Mohammad Nabi bagged two wickets each.

In response, Afghanistan chased down the target losing eight wickets in 49.4-over.

Asghar Stanikzai hit 57-run while Mohammad Nabi took 49. Besides, Mohammad Shahzad and Najibullah Zadran scored 35 and 22-run respectively.

Shakib Al Hasan picked up four wickets while debutant Mosaddek took two wickets in his 10-over.

Nabi was adjudged player of the match for his all-round performance.
