DHAKA: Bangladesh have set a 280-run target for the visiting Afghanistan in the third and final match of the three-match ODI series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur of Dhaka on Saturday (October 1).
Earlier, Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and decided to bat first in the match that kicked off at 2:30pm local time.
Tamim’s ton (118) and Sabbir Rahman’s half century (65) helped tigers score 279 in the stipulated 50 overs. However, they lost 8 wickets. Innings concluded with Mahmudullah’s 32 off 45 balls.
The third match is the series decider as both the teams had won one match each.
Bangladesh have made two changes - Mosharraf Hossain returns in place of Taijul Islam and Shafiul Islam returns in place of Rubel Hossain in the other change while one change for Afghanistan with Samiullah Shenwari replacing Naveen-ul-Haq.
Mosharraf is playing in his first ODI in more than eight years.
