DHAKA: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 15-member team to participate in Women Asia Cup tournament which is scheduled to be held next month in Thailand.
Experienced all-rounder Salma Khatun who is currently recovering from shoulder injury, will join the team. She was injured while practicing during Ireland tour in August.
David Capel, the new coach of Bangladesh women team, will train the team as his first assignment.
Women Asia Cup will kick off on 27 November with the participation of India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh and host Thailand.
The Bangladesh team included Rumana Ahmed, Jahanara Alam, Farzana Hoque, Nigar Sultana, Ritu Moni, Fahima Khatun, Khadiza-tul Kubra, Ayesha Rahman, Nahida Akhter, Zannatul Ferdous, Panna Ghosh, Suraia Azmin, Sharmin Sultana, Salma Khatun and Subhana Mostary.
