DHAKA: The fourth edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), a franchise-based T20 cricket league, has been postponed for a couple of days due to inclement weather across the country as a depression over the Bay of Bengal intensified.
The tournament is scheduled to be resumed on Tuesday (November 8).
BPL governing committee took the decision on Saturday (November 5) as the umpires were forced to call off the match between Barisal Bulls and Chittagong Vikings due to excessive rain on the second day of the T20 league.
Earlier on Friday (November 4), the two matches -- Comilla Victorians vs Rajshahi Kings and Khulna Titans vs Rangpur Riders -- were also abandoned due to persisting rain.
