DHAKA: Bangladesh batsmen have scored 141-run losing eight wickets from their 20-over quota against host New Zealand in the first T20 of three-match series at McLean Park, Napier on Tuesday (January 3).
Mahmudullah scored a responsible 52-run off 47-ball when wickets were tumbling around him. Besides, Mosaddek Hossain, Sabbir Rahman, Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal amassed 20, 16, 14 and 11 runs respectively. Eighteen runs came as wides.
Lockie Ferguson picked up three Bangladesh wickets while debutant Ben Wheeler took two. Besides, Matt Henry, Colin de Grandhomme and MJ Santner took one wicket each.
Earlier, Tiger captain Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and elected to bat first his 50th T20 international match.
