DHAKA: Visiting Bangladesh are in a comfortable position after the end of Day 3 of the first test against host New Zealand at Basin Reserve in Wellington on Saturday (January 14).
The hosts are still trailing by 303-run with seven wickets in hand. They have scored 292-run losing three wickets. Tom Latham and Henry Nicolls are on the crease with 119 and 35 runs respectively.
Kamrul Islam Rabbi picked up two wickets while debutant Taskin Ahmed took one wicket.
Earlier, Bangladesh resumed their batting on the third day morning with the overnight score of 542/7. Tigers added another 53-run, taking the tally to 595-run, losing the wicket of Taskin Ahmed (3), thanks to Sabbir Ahmed, who hit an unbeaten half century (54).
Of the Kiwi bowlers, Neil Wagner picked up four wickets while Boult and Southee took two wickets each.
