DHAKA: Bangladesh have scored 322 runs losing six wickets at stumps on Day three of the lone test against India at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad Saturday (February 11).
Captain Mushfiqur Rahim (81*) and all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz (51*) are fighting back with an unbroken eighth wicket partnership of 87-run.
The visitors are still trailing by 365 runs with 4 wickets remaining in the 1st innings.
Earlier, India scored a mammoth first innings total of 687/6 (declared) after one hour of the tea break on Day 2. In their response, visitors were 41/1 at stumps on the second day.
Tamim Iqbal and Mominul Haque resumed their batting on the third day morning but both of the batsmen returned to the pavilion in the first hour of day’s play.
Mahmudullah (28) also returned to pavilion quickly. Thenceforth, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim built the innings with a partnership of 107-run. Shakib scored 82-run before playing an indiscreet shot off Ashwin bowling and threw away his wicket. Sabbir Rahman (16) also could not add many.
Of the India bowlers, Umesh Yadav picked up two wickets so far in the innings while Ishant Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja took one each.
