DHAKA: The second ODI between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka was abandoned due to incessant rain at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Tuesday.
The third game scheduled to be held at the SSC Ground in Colombo on April 1 will be the decider one in the three-match series.
As Bangladesh are leading 1-0, they have no chance to lose the series.
Earlier in the day, Sri Lanka captain Tharanga won the toss in his 200th ODI and chooses to bat first.
Sri Lanka, however, set a 312-run target for the visiting Bangladesh in their second ODI.
They lost all wickets to score 311 runs at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.
Kusal Mendis took the highest 102 runs from 107 balls while Upul Tharanga contributed with 65 from 76. The second and third wicket stands of 111 and 83 helped the hosts cross 300 finally.
Taskin halted the host by his brilliant hat-trick.
Bangladesh took lead the series by 1-0 beating Sri Lanka by 90 runs in the first match on March 25 at Dumbulla.
