DHAKA: Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 6 wickets in the opening match of the two-match T20I series at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Tuesday (April 4).

Bangladesh have scored 155-run for six at the end of their stipulated 20-over.

Mahmudullah scored 31 runs facing 26 balls.

In reply, Sri Lanka scored 158 runs losing only four wickets at 18.5 overs.

MDKJ Perera took 77 runs playing 53 balls while, WU Tharanga scored 24 runs. Mashrafe Mortaza takes 2 wickets.

Earlier, Tiger captain Mashrafe won the toss and decided to bat first in the match.

This series against Sri Lanka will be Mashrafe’s last series as he has announced his retirement from T20Is.

Bangladesh’s all-rounder Saifuddin is making his T20 debut.
