DHAKA: Batsman Mominul Haque, who on Saturday (Aug 19) was left out of the first Test match squad against Australia, has been recalled in the squad.
In a press conference on Sunday evening (Aug 20), Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan Papon said Mominul will replace Mosaddek Hossain Soikat in the 14-man squad of Bangladesh as Mosaddek has not recovered from an eye infection.
Despite his highest average Test-run record, Mominul was left out from the squad on Saturday. Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu faced backlash after dropping him from the squad.
