DHAKA: Sayeed Khokon, mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), promised that important public places of the southern part of the city will be brought under free WiFi internet facilities.

The newly elected mayor made the promises at a reception program, organized by Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) at National Press Club in city on Thursday.

According to the mayor, the areas including Ramna Park, Suhrawardi Udyan, Sadarghat Lunch Terminal and Kamlapur Railway Station will come under free WiFi internet coverage by two months.

He said that Prime Minister’s ICT advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy has agreed to provide free WiFi service at the important areas in both parts of Dhaka city.
