DHAKA: CTO Forum president and also CTO of NCC Bank Ltd Tapan Kanti Sarkar has recently been honored with ‘The Most Successful IT Expert in Banking Sector’ award.

State minister for foreign affairs ministry Shahriar Alam handed over the award to the CTO Forum president on the occasion of 6th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Business Journalists Society (BBJS) in city.

Eminent ICT personality Mustafa Jabbar, Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services (BASIS) president Shamim Ahsan, BJJS president Rashedul Hasan Bulbul and BBJS general secretary Mahamudul Haque, among others, were also present at the award giving ceremony.

Tapan Kanti was awarded for his cost-effective innovative technique, active leadership, business development by ICT, enterprise resource planning, IT security policy and cloud computing.

He has been working for the development of ICT in the country for past 35 years, a press release said on Monday.
