DHAKA: A total of 132,649,000 people are subscribers of six mobile telecom companies in Bangladesh and 63,316,000 are internet users. Of them, nearly six crores use internet throught mobile phones.

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) published the statistics till May on Sunday (June 26).

According to BTRC, there were 131,949,000 cell phone and 6,204,000 internet users in the country in April.

However, Grameenphone has the highest number of subscribers with 57,393,000, and Banglalink 32,231,000, Robi 27,703,000, Airtel 10,125,000 and Citicell 735,000.

The government owned mobile phone operator Teletalk has 4,463,000 users in April while it was 4,365,000 in the previous month.
