DHAKA: The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) Wednesday arrested Pubali Bank RK Mission Road Branch officer Mashiul Alam on charge of money embezzlement.     

A special ACC team led by deputy director Abdus Sobhan arrested him from capital’s Tejgaon area at noon.           

ACC sought five-day remand after producing him before a lower court.    

Abdus Sobhan confirmed the matter to banglanews.       

He said Mashiul Alam has embezzled TK. 1.48 crore of Rupali Bank in several phases producing fake vouchers.

In September, 2013 Rupali Bank filed a case against him and later it was sent to ACC for investigation.
