Bourses see fall Wednesday

DHAKA:  Country’s stock market marked fall in its price indices on Wednesday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) board index shed over 35 points only to stand at 4,519 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 96,975 with volume of transactions at Tk 3,380 million.

Of the issues traded, 61 advanced, 208 declined and 29 remained unchanged.

EMERALDOIL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 531 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, BSC, LAFSURCEML, PADMAOIL, OLYMPIC, MPETROLEUM, GP, BSCCL and UCBL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,785 by dropping over 68 points.

Out of the issues traded, 35 gained, 172 declined and 17 remained unchanged.
