DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 39 points to stand at 4,558 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 82,182 with transaction at Tk 2,776 million. Of the issues traded, 195 advanced, 65 declined and 31 remained unchanged.

MERALDOIL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 196 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BSC, SQURPHARMA, PADMAOIL, LAFSURCEML, BDBUILDING, GP, BSCCL and MPETROLEUM.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8869 by gaining over 74 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 134 gained, 65 declined and 16 remained unchanged.
