DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over nine points to stand at 4508 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 78330 with transaction at Tk 2999 million. Of the issues traded, 127 advanced, 139 declined and 28 remained unchanged.

SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 141 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BSCCL, LAFSURCEML, BSC, GP, EMERALDOIL, PADMAOIL, ATLASBANG, NTLTUBES and EHL.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8773 by gaining over seven points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 72 gained, 122 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
