DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 15 points to stand at 4,430 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 71,366 with transaction at Tk 3,212 million. Of the issues traded, 119 advanced, 127 declined and 46 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 414 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, EHL, BSRMSTEEL, MPETROLEUM, OLYMPIC, SQURPHARMA, HEIDELBCEM, ACI and FAMILYTEX.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,492 by gaining over 14 points.

Out of the issues traded, 75 gained, 93 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
