DHAKA:  Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over zero point only to stand at 4430 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 70,435 with volume of transactions at Tk 3,233 million.

Of the issues traded, 113 advanced, 126 declined and 54 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 461 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, PRIMEBANK, HEIDELBCEM, MERCANBANK, GP, OLYMPIC, ACI, EHL and BSRMSTEEL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8468 by dropping over 23 points.

Out of the issues traded, 72 gained, 117 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
