DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 28 points to stand at 4,446 at  11:20am.

Trade deals stood at 14807with transaction at Tk 937 million. Of the issues traded, 128 advanced, 45 declined and 56 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 157 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, EHL, BSRMSTEEL, MPETROLEUM, OLYMPIC, SQURPHARMA, HEIDELBCEM, ACI and FAMILYTEX.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,448 by gaining over 12 points.

Out of the issues traded, 34 gained, 30 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
