DHAKA: The national budget for the fiscal year 2014-2015 is going to be placed before the parliament on Thursday afternoon.  

Finance Minister AMA Muhith is to place the budget, which will be the 8th as the finance minister, for the 2014-15 Fiscal Year at 3:30pm. 

The size of the budget 2014-15 is likely to be Tk 2.50 lakh crore as the finance minister pointed out earlier. 

This is the first budget of the incumbent Awami League-led government and 43rd budget for Bangladesh.

Muhith, also ruling Awami League lawmaker, is likely talk to journalists in press conference over the various aspects of the budget on Friday.

The budget will be passed on June 29 after discussions on the budget by government and opposition lawmakers. 

In a meeting of parliamentary advisor committee, lawmakers will discuss for 45 hours about the draft budget.

President Abdul Hamid also is likely to attend the budget session.
