DHAKA: Finance Minister AMA Muhith started placing the 43rd national budget for Fiscal year 2014-15 in the Parliament on Thursday afternoon.

This budget is the first of the incumbent Awami League government in its 2nd successive term after the January 5 general elections, while the 8th by the Minister Muhith.

The size of the budget 2014-15 is likely to be more than Tk 2.50 lakh crore as the finance minister pointed out earlier. 

Muhith, also ruling Awami League lawmaker, is likely talk to journalists in press conference over the various aspects of the budget on Friday.

The budget will be passed on June 29 after discussions on the budget by government and opposition lawmakers.
