DHAKA: The cabinet approved the proposed budget of the fiscal year 2014-15 in a meeting at Jatiya Sangsad secretariat on Thursday noon.

This will be the first budget of the incumbent Awami League-led government after it assumed power in January this year.

The size of the budget is Tk 250,506 crore and it has been fixed Tk 674.98 billion deficit and a Tk 184,000 crore revenue target.

With Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina in the chair, the meeting was attended by ministers, state ministers and secretaries.
