Stocks end lower Sunday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall again in its price indices on Sunday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 47 points only to stand at 4,361 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 104,785 with volume of transactions at Tk 3141 million.

Of the issues traded, 47 advanced, 212 declined and 32 remained unchanged.

GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 412 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were PENINSULA, BSRMSTEEL, LAFSURCEML, MPETROLEUM, DELTALIFE, MJLBD, BEXIMCO, OLYMPIC and SQURPHARMA.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,309 by dropping over 100 points.

Out of the issues traded, 23 gained, 159 declined and 12 remained unchanged.
