DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.

The DSE broad index shed over two points to stand at 4,358 at the close on the forth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 84,516with transaction at Tk 3,193 million.

Of the issues traded, 63 advanced, 203 declined and 25 remained unchanged.

BSRMSTEEL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 267 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, LAFSURCEML, SQURPHARMA, HEIDELBCEM, MJLBD, PENINSULA, ABBANK, MITHUNKNIT and AL-HAJTEX.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8290 by dropping over 19 points.

 Out of the issues traded, 38 gained, 143 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
