DHAKA: Investors witnessed slight gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over one point to stand at 4,340 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 61,903with transaction at Tk 2339 million. Of the issues traded, 147 advanced, 97 declined and 51 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 251 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BSRMSTEEL, BEXIMCO, GP, SQURPHARMA, MITHUNKNIT, BSCCL, UCBL, HEIDELBCEM and ACI.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,272 by gaining over 11 points.

Out of the issues traded, 97 gained, 80 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
