DHAKA: The transaction hour of commercial banks during the month of Ramadan is set for five hours from 9:30am-2:30pm with a prayer break for 15 minutes from 1:15pm.

Bangladesh Bank (BB), the central bank of the country, issued a notification in this regard on Monday. 

It also said the commercial banks will remain open till 4:00pm.

For the month of holy Ramadan, the Supreme Court along with banks, insurance companies, Bangladesh Railway, post office and other such organizations are re-fixing their own time table.
