DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Tuesday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 25 points to stand at 4,392 at the close on the third trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 72,817 with transaction at Tk 2,805 million.

Of the issues traded, 183 advanced, 70 declined and 43 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 205 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BEXIMCO, GP, SQURPHARMA, BXPHARMA, UNITEDAIR, UCBL, ACI, BSCCL and DELTALIFE.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8381 by gaining over 34 points.

Out of the issues traded, 104 gained, 75 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
