DHAKA: The government has appointed four new directors to Basic Bank Ltd for three years after appointing new chairman to the state-run bank.

The Bank and Financial Institutions Division of Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification in this regard on Monday.

The new directors are FCA Hasan Mahmud, former MD of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation Begum Raihana Anisa Yusuf Ali, Joint Secretary of the Bank and Financial Institutions Division M Mamun Al Rashid and Professor Dr Mujib Ahmed of Accounting and Information System Department of Dhaka University.

They were appointed to make the board of directors of the bank more efficient and active, the notification said.
