DHAKA: The exports of the country rose around 11.65 percent in the 2013-14 Fiscal Year that ended in June than the previous year, thanks to the stronger clothing sales.

The Export Promotion Bureau disclosed the matter on Thursday saying the amount of export was nearly $30.18 billion.

Garments are a vital sector as the country is world's largest apparel exporter after China.

Garment exports surged 14 percent to $24.5 billion in 2013-14FY.
