DHAKA: The vehicles without having number plate of Dhaka City will have to pay Tk 1,000 each during plying in the city, says a proposed Dhaka South City Corporation budget provision for 2014-15 fiscal year.

DSCC administrator Mohammad Ibrahim Hossian Khan told media on Thursday noon at Nagar Bhaban during the budget declaration.

He said that a scores of vehicles with the number-plates of different districts move in city roads.

These vehicles were not under tax net. If tax is imposed on the vehicles of other districts, it will be a source of income.

An order has been given to make it mandatory from new fiscal year, he added.

He also said necessary measures have also been taken in this regard.
