Stocks end lower Sunday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked slight fall again in its price indices on Sunday.

 The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 17 points only to stand at 4,374 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 68482 with volume of transactions at Tk 2636 million.

Of the issues traded, 143 advanced, 116 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
   
BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 305 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, SPCL, GP, OLYMPIC, FARCHEM, UCBL, PENINSULA, ENVOYTEX     and APOLOISPAT.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8191 by dropping over 35 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 88 gained, 85 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
