DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank (BB) is going to direct all commercial banks to fix various service charges from clients in logical rate.

The central bank wants to stop the illogical service charges taken by many private banks soon.

The central bank will raise the issue at the bankers meeting scheduled to be held on Monday where chief executives of all commercial banks will be present.

Dr Atiur Rahman, governor of Bangladesh bank, will preside over the meeting.

Sources said in the meeting, BB will ask all commercial banks to collect default money from the defaulters.

It will also ask commercial banks to take step against the writ petitions filed by loan defaulters.

BB will also direct the banks to increase credit flow and to identify weak points of investing in capital market.
