DHAKA: New Bhutanese High Commissioner to Dhaka Pema Choden urged Bangladeshi businessmen to invest in Bhutan.

The envoy made the urge in a meeting with Industry Minister Amir Hossain Amu on Monday.

Amu made the disclosure to reporters after the meeting.

He said Bhutanese high commissioner informed him that Bangladeshi businessmen can invest in hydropower and agricultural sector in his country.

Bangladeshi investors can import hydropower from Bhutan and can invest agricultural based products as Bhutan has huge potentiality in these two sectors, Amu added quoting Bhutanese envoy.

The minister said he assured Bhutanese high commissioner saying he will inspire businessmen to invest in Bhutan.
