DHAKA: Banks will remain open in Dhaka, Chittagong and Benapole customs stations on July 25, 26 and 28 before Eid-ul-Fitr.

A Bangladesh Bank circular, issued on Tuesday on its website, said the bank managements have been advised to take necessary measures to facilitate operation of their concerned branches.

It mentioned that at the request of BGMEA, the National Board of Revenue (NBR), has taken the decision to keep open its customs stations at Dhaka, Chittagong, Benapole and ICD Kamalapur on July 25, 26 and 27.

Therefore, for the sake of continuation to export business especially of the apparel industries, the branches concerned of the scheduled banks will remain open on these days.
