DHAKA: Country's stock market marked significant gain in its price indices on Sunday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 44 points only to stand at 4,530 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 143729 with volume of transactions at Tk 7639 million.

Of the issues traded, 165 advanced, 100 declined and 34 remained unchanged.

MJLBD  topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 678 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, GP, ACTIVEFINE, BEXIMCO, HWAWELLTEX, LAFSURCEML, ACI, PADMAOIL and SUMITPOWER.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8575 by dropping over 82 points. 

Out of the issues traded, 116 gained, 91 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
