DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 34 points to stand at 4,565 at the close on the third trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 152,815 with transaction at Tk 7,901 million. Of the issues traded, 135 advanced, 141 declined and 25 remained unchanged.

SQURPHARMA      topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 523 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were MJLBD, GP, ACTIVEFINE, APOLOISPAT, LAFSURCEML, BSRMSTEEL, ACI, MPETROLEUM and HWAWELLTEX.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 7,647 by gaining over 72 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 79 gained, 41 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
