DHAKA: The Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd opened its 116th branch at Kazir Haat Bazar in Jajira upazila of Shariatpur district on Thursday, said a press release.

Alhajj Abdul Malek Mollah, director of the bank, inaugurated the branch as chief guest while managing director M Habibur Rahman presided over the ceremony and delivered the welcome speech.

The news release added that prominent businessman Nurul Amin Mia, Izaradar of Kazir Haat MA Wahab,  former chairman of Shener Char Union Parishad Kazi Golam Mostafa, Officer-in-Charge of Zazira Police Station M Ekram Ali and Senior Vice President M Manjurul Alam, also zonal head of the bank, also spoke on the occasion. 

Senior Vice President of the bank M Abdur Rahim Duary, Engineer M Habib Ullah, and Assistant Vice President Jalal Ahmed were among others present at the function.
