Stocks end lower Wednesday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall again in its price indices on Wednesday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 22 points only to stand at 4,553 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 131440 with volume of transactions at Tk 6420 million.

Of the issues traded, 87 advanced, 167 declined and 30 remained unchanged.

BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 372 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were MJLBD, KPPL, GP, LAFSURCEML, BSC, SQURPHARMA, BSRMSTEEL, BSCCL and TITASGAS.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8558 by dropping over 22 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 52 gained, 136 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
