DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over eight points to stand at 4599 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 1,22,638 with transaction at Tk 5784  million. Of the issues traded, 131 advanced, 134 declined and 32 remained unchanged.

BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 146 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BXPHARMA, SQURPHARMA, MJLBD, GOLDENSON, GP, UNITEDAIR, BSRMSTEEL, BDBUILDING and TITASGAS.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8680 by gaining over six points.

Out of the issues traded, 75 gained, 116 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
