DHAKA: The customs intelligence team seized over 400 costly mobile handsets worth of Tk 1.5 crore in a drive at ‘Gadget and Gear’ in the city on Thursday.

The intelligence team conducted a special drive in an outlet of the company at city’s Gulshan area and seized the illegal handsets, including Nokia, Blackberry, Sony and Motorola brands.

Director General of Custom Intelligence and Investigation M Mainul Khan told banglanews that the handsets were brought illegally and without paying the duty at the custom.
