DHAKA: Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) handed over Tk 102cr scholarship to 5,500 insolvent and meritorious students from SSC and HSC levels across the country.

In DBBL scholarship giving ceremony, finance minister AMA Muhith said that the education scholarship of Dutch-Bangla Bank can be received in one’s whole educational life.

One can continue their efforts to achieve the scholarship, he added.

The ceremony was held at Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium at city’s Mirpur area on Saturday morning.

Some 5,500 students, who are unable to continue their educational expenses, were given scholarships for this year.

Law minister Anisul Haque, Dutch ambassador Gerben De Jong, Dutch Bangla Bank Limited chairman Sayem Ahmed, among others, attended in the program.
