DHAKA: Country's stock market marked significant gain in its price indices on Wednesday.

 The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 38 points only to stand at 4,798 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 167327 with volume of transactions at Tk 9664 million.

Of the issues traded, 131 advanced, 133 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 485 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were MJLBD, BXPHARMA, BSRMSTEEL, LAFSURCEML, BEXIMCO, DELTALIFE, ACIFORMULA, GOLDENSON and UNIQUEHRL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8934 by dropping over 70 points.

Out of the issues traded, 95 gained, 95 declined and 37 remained unchanged.
