DHAKA: A gang of miscreants shot a money exchange owner in city’s Mirpur area on Wednesday.

The victim was identified as Mohammad Shahidul Islam, owner of RR Money Exchange.

Locals said a gang of unidentified miscreants shot him in the area around 2:30pm, leaving him injured critically.

He was rushed to Islami Bank Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Pallabi Thana Ziauzzaman said police is trying to detain the miscreants.
