DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 67 points to stand at 4866 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 196174 with transaction at Tk 12,885 million. Of the issues traded, 200 advanced, 83 declined and 17 remained unchanged.

MJLBD topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 563 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BSRMSTEEL, BXPHARMA, ACTIVEFINE, BEXIMCO, GP, ORIONPHARM, GOLDENSON, LAFSURCEML and BRACBANK.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9080 by gaining over 146 points.

Out of the issues traded, 138 gained, 76 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
