DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 47 points to stand at 4913 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 180737 with transaction at Tk 9,813 million. Of the issues traded, 232 advanced, 60 declined and 13 remained unchanged.

BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 605 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BXPHARMA, BSRMSTEEL, GP, MJLBD, SUMITPOWER, LAFSURCEML, GOLDENSON, UNIQUEHRL and ACTIVEFINE.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9217 by gaining over 137 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 167 gained, 53 declined and 10 remained unchanged.
