DHAKA: The Garments Workers Unity Forum and Tuba Group Sangram Committee threatened to besiege the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA) Bhaban in the city on September 29 if their wages and bonus not be paid by September 28.   

They issued the ultimatum in a meeting at National Press Club on Friday afternoon.

Addressing the meeting, workers’ leader Moshrefa Mishu said the owner of Tuba group did not take any initiatives to pay the due though the government asked owners to pay within September 28. 

Mishu expected the interference of government and BRMEA in the matter. She also demanded to reopen the factory soon.
