DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 63 points to stand at 5,173 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 132,712 with transaction at Tk 7,248 million. Of the issues traded, 213 advanced, 77 declined and 21 remained unchanged.

ABBANK topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 185 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BEXIMCO, BEDL, BXPHARMA, CITYBANK, ACI, APOLOISPAT, CVOPRL, AGNISYSL and AAMRATECH.   
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9701 by gaining over 106 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 148 gained, 62 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
