DHAKA: Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) president Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed on Friday categorically said the country’s reserved remittance have stood at 22 billons now.

Kazi Akram said Bangladesh receives 14 billons dollars remittances every year whereas Pakistan receives 8 billions.
 
The FBCCI chief was addressing a discussion organized by Shyamoli Ideal Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) at Hotel Purbani in the city.

Kazi Akram said: “Industry revolution has been created across the country; small industry needs to be built; the country will advance, if the industry is developed.”

Citing the importance of vocational education, the industry entrepreneur told that a country with vocational education is necessary to build prior to building ‘Digital Bangladesh’.

Industry will be extended, if the vocational education is spread out widely.

On the woman workers’ contribution, Akram said our women make the clothes in that way which the other countries’ cannot do so. Our women have an art of works, which the others don’t have, he added.

Presided over by Bangladesh Polytechnic Teachers Association Federation president MA Sattar, Director General of Education Department Shahajan Mian, Vocational Education Board chairman Dr. M Abdul Haque Talukder, among other, were present at the function.

SIPI arranged the discussion under its project on skilled manpower and employment creation titled “Central Job Placement”.
