DHAKA: Country’s one of the largest medicine exporters BEXIMCO Pharmaceutical Limited has gained approval from Canada’s drug regulatory authorities called Health Canada.

BEXIMCO Farma is the only local medicine manufacturer that has achieved the recognition for following Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) directives.

Terming Canada an important medicine market BEXIMCO Farma managing director Nazmul Hasan MP said that this recognition is a milestone for the company.

It will create a positive impact regarding the quality of our medicine as well as finding new markets across the world, he added.

Earlier in July, BEXIMCO Farma Limited, as the first Bangladeshi company, earned the approval from Taiwan’s regulatory authorities TFD.

Moreover, the company has also earned approvals from the authorities concerned in Australia, South Africa and some countries from Latin America and Middle East.

Currently, BEXIMCO Farma is exporting medicines in over thirty countries. It has also earned national export trophy for four times.
